An Ode to zpizza

For well over a year now, I have been traveling to Columbus, OH every 6 weeks or so. Coming from San Francisco (and New York before that), and being a life-long lover of good food, I’ve had a little trouble in Columbus. It’s a really cute city and I’ve become both fond of it and comfortable with it, but the food situation has been difficult. zpizza has been a life-saver. Straight-up. In their honor, I offer this small song, to be sung to the tune of “If you’re happy and you know it (clap your hands).” (The last verse needs work, I know–it’s rather too menacing in its current form. But whatever; it rhymes.)

If you want amazing pizza, make it Z
If you want amazing pizza, make it Z
If you want amazing pizza,
Be it veggie, be it meatza
If you want amazing pizza, make it Z

If it’s wings that you’ve been craving, make it Z
If it’s wings that you’ve been craving, make it Z
If it’s wings that you’ve been craving
And your kitchen’s misbehaving
If it’s wings that you’ve been craving, make it Z

If you want outstanding service, make it Z
If you want outstanding service, make it Z
If you want outstanding service
Other places got you nervous
If you want outstanding service, make it Z

Now you’re happy so say thanks, I love you, Z
Now you’re happy so say thanks, I love you, Z
Now you’re happy so say thank you
Or I’ll find you and I’ll shank you
Now you’re happy so say thanks, I love you, Z

I’m considering uploading a video to YouTube, of me singing this song and accompanying myself on the guitar, but perhaps that’s too much.

(Also, I can’t believe this is my first post here since March 2012. I do love cooking and foodie-ing, but I’m not sure food-blogging is quite my thing.)
